Gold scheme
Ziyo Gold Scheme — Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms before enrolling. Accepting them is part of the enrolment process.
1 · Eligibility
- Open to individuals aged 18 years and above holding a valid Emirates ID or passport.
- Identity verification (KYC) is mandatory at enrolment; the scheme cannot be opened without it.
- Schemes are opened in the customer's own name only and cannot be transferred to another person, except to a registered nominee.
2 · Instalments
- The monthly instalment is fixed at enrolment, with a minimum of AED 100, in multiples of AED 100, and cannot be changed during the term.
- Available terms are 6 months and 12 months.
- Instalments are due on or before the 10th of each month, with a grace period until the 15th.
- A customer may hold more than one scheme at the same time.
3 · Gold accumulation
- Each instalment is converted into 22KT gold grams at the prevailing ZIYO 22KT rate on the date the payment is credited.
- Accumulated grams are recorded in the customer's passbook and do not expire.
- Advance instalments are permitted; they are converted at the rate applying on the date of that advance payment.
4 · Missed instalments
- If an instalment is not received within the grace period, the maturity date is extended by one month for that cycle.
- Grams already accumulated remain fully credited to the customer.
- The scheme may be cancelled by ZIYO if no instalment is received for six consecutive months; accumulated grams remain redeemable without bonus.
5 · Maturity bonus
- On completion of all instalments of the chosen term, ZIYO grants a bonus purchase credit equal to 5% of the total amount paid.
- If at least six instalments of a 12-month scheme are paid but the term is not completed, the bonus is limited to 5% of the first six instalments.
- The bonus is a purchase credit in AED. It is never paid in cash and is never converted into grams.
- The bonus must be used within one month of the maturity date, in a single purchase.
6 · Redemption & closure
- Closure is completed by redeeming the full accumulated grams against a jewellery purchase, in one transaction.
- Partial closure, part-redemption and cash refunds are not available.
- If the selected jewellery is worth more than the accumulated value, the difference is payable by the customer.
- Making charges, stone charges and applicable VAT are payable as per the invoice at the time of redemption.
7 · Compliance
- ZIYO complies with UAE anti-money-laundering regulations. Additional documents may be requested for higher-value schemes.
- Payments must be made by the scheme holder from their own funds; third-party payments are not accepted.
- ZIYO may refuse or cancel enrolment where verification cannot be completed.
8 · General
- The passbook and scheme records maintained by ZIYO are final in case of any discrepancy.
- ZIYO may amend these terms for new enrolments; schemes already opened continue on the terms accepted at enrolment.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
